Calliope receives highest distinction from Cambridge University Press & Assessment

This ceremony will mark the official announcement of Calliope’s achievement of Cambridge Platinum Exam Centre status, making it the first Cambridge examination centre to attain this level of distinction in Morocco, Africa, and the Middle East.

CASABLANCA - The city of Casablanca is preparing to host a major international education event on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, organized by the Calliope Group in partnership with Cambridge University Press & Assessment.

This ceremony will mark the official announcement of Calliope’s achievement of Cambridge Platinum Exam Centre status, making it the first Cambridge examination centre to attain this level of distinction in Morocco, Africa, and the Middle East.

This accreditation represents the highest level of recognition awarded by Cambridge University Press & Assessment to centres authorized to administer Cambridge English examinations. It recognizes excellence, consistency, and commitment to the highest international standards in language assessment and education.

The event will be distinguished by the presence of Ms Francesca Woodward, Global Managing Director for English at Cambridge University Press & Assessment, who will be visiting Morocco specifically for this occasion. The ceremony will also bring together national and international dignitaries, key stakeholders from the education and training sectors, and representatives of educational institutions from across the Kingdom.

The ceremony will also honour five Moroccan schools that will receive the Cambridge English Educational Partner (CEEP) designation, in recognition of their commitment to excellence in English language education and their adoption of international best practices in teaching and learning.

This event represents an important milestone in the development of language education in Morocco and reflects the growing role of Moroccan educational institutions within the international education landscape.

Beyond the distinction awarded to Calliope, this recognition also highlights Morocco’s growing presence on the international education stage and demonstrates the ability of Moroccan educational stakeholders to meet the highest global standards in language teaching, learning, and assessment.

Today, Cambridge English qualifications are recognised by more than 170 governments, educational institutions, and professional organisations worldwide, making them among the most respected and credible language certifications internationally.

The event will also provide a valuable opportunity to showcase Moroccan success stories in education and to encourage dialogue around quality, innovation, and the preparation of future generations for the challenges of an increasingly interconnected and competitive world.
