Egypt rejects Israeli presence at Rafah crossing with Gaza

Egyptian FM says it is difficult for the Rafah crossing to continue operating without a Palestinian administration.

DUBAI - Egypt is clear on rejecting an Israeli presence at the Rafah border crossing between Egypt's Sinai Peninsula and the Gaza Strip, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said on Monday.

"It is difficult for the Rafah crossing to continue operating without a Palestinian administration," he said in a press conference with his Spanish counterpart in Madrid.
