G20: Brazil adopts Morocco's full map

Brazil, which holds the rotating presidency of the G20, reaffirms its support for Morocco's autonomy initiative for the Sahara as the only realistic and credible solution to the regional dispute with its publication of planisphere with Morocco’s full map.

LONDON - Brazil unveiled a world map including Morocco’s full geographical map with its southern provinces on the occasion of its annual presidency of the G20.

This planisphere, produced by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) and presented to President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, highlights the member countries of the G20, an economic forum bringing together 19 nations as well as the African Union and the European Union, of which Brazil holds the rotating presidency.

“The publication of this global map represents an opportunity for Brazil to position itself in a unique way on the international scene, in the framework of its presidency of the G20,” revealed the official website of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics.
