Israeli forces storm Gaza’s Al Shifa hospital

Hamas says Washington's adoption of the false (Israeli) narrative, claiming that the resistance is using Al Shifa medical complex for military purposes, was a green light for the occupation to commit more massacres against civilians.

GAZA - Israeli forces stormed Wednesday Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza after several days of siege despite repeated calls by rights groups to protect it.

Al Shifa, Gaza’s largest hospital, has become a symbol of the widespread suffering of Palestinian civilians during the war.

Israeli forces have surrounded Al Shifa hospital, after waging fierce street battles with Hamas fighters they accuse of having a command post under the complex. The US on Tuesday cited intelligence backing Israel's assertion.

But Hamas said in a statement on Wednesday it "holds the occupation (Israel) and President Biden fully responsible for (the) occupation army's raid of Al Shifa medical complex."

Hamas said the US intelligence statement "was a green light" for the raid.

"The White House and the Pentagon's adoption of the false (Israeli) narrative, claiming that the resistance is using Al Shifa medical complex for military purposes, was a green light for the occupation to commit more massacres against civilians," Hamas said.
