Morocco's police chief on working visit to Saudi Arabia
RABAT - Morocco's Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance (DGSN-DGST) Abdellatif Hammouchi is on a working visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on February 8-12, accompanied by a large security delegation.
This visit comes at the official invitation of Minister Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Howairini, Head of State Security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to participate in the 3rd World Defense Show hosted by the Saudi capital, Riyadh, according to a statement from the DGSN-DGST hub.
The visit is also an opportunity to explore the future of integration in the fields of security and defense on a global scale, through examination of the latest technical developments in this area, as well as debate on the main advanced programs and applications available to security and defense authorities, with the aim of enshrining global security and stability, the same source added.
On the sidelines of field visits to the World Defense Show, the Director General of the DGSN and DGST held bilateral talks with Saudi security officials on ways to promote bilateral cooperation in areas of security and intelligence, as well as mechanisms for accessing mutual technical assistance in this field.
This visit illustrates the growing importance the DGSN-DGST hub shows for modernization and innovation in the field of security as essential elements for meeting emerging challenges and responding to future security issues, as well as reflecting its ongoing commitment to strengthening strategic security partnerships with various brotherly and friendly countries, the statement concluded.
