Saudi Arabia posts a Q3 budget deficit of 30 billion riyals

The oil-rich kingdom’s total spending stood at 339 billion riyals in the third quarter of 2024, as it continues to spend heavily to meet the demands of its Vision 2030 economic transformation programme. 

RIYADH - Saudi Arabia registered a budget deficit of 30 billion riyals ($7.99 billion) in the third quarter of 2024, according to Saudi state television.

The kingdom's total revenue stood at 309 billion riyals in the third quarter of this year, with oil revenues at 191 billion riyals and non-oil revenue at 118 billion riyals.
