Morocco’s King congratulates Sharaa on assuming Syria’s transitional presidency

King Mohammed VI tells the Syrian President that Morocco has been and still is the eminent position in supporting and assisting the Syrian people seeking their aspirations for freedom and tranquility.

RABAT – Morocco’s King Mohammed VI sent a congratulatory message to Ahmed Al-Sharaa on the occasion of his assumption of Syria’s presidency in the transitional phase.

"I am pleased to convey you my congratulations and my praise for assuming the presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic in the transitional phase, and may God Almighty inspire you with success and guidance in your important civil tasks," wrote the King.

"I seize this opportunity to confirm to Your Excellency the position of the Kingdom of Morocco, which has been and still is the eminent position in supporting and assisting the Syrian people seeking their aspirations for freedom and tranquility. It is in its firm position that calls on it today, as a diamond, to stand by its side as it passes through this delicate and decisive stage in its history, through a complete experience with its principled position supporting Syrian unity and Syria and its national sovereignty," added King Mohammed VI.

"As I renew my greetings to Your Excellency, I ask God Almighty to contribute to this input in establishing peace and laying the foundations of permanent perfection and security for your country, in a manner consistent with the aspirations of your brotherly people, with all its components and spectrums, to achieve security and prosperity," concluded the monarch.
