Oman wealth fund’s total assets are around almost $60 billion
MUSCAT - Total assets at Oman's sovereign wealth fund, the Oman Investment Authority (OIA), amounted to around 23 billion Omani rials ($59.74 billion).
The sultanate's wealth fund generated a record net profit of around 3 billion rials ($7.79 billion) over the course of 2025, state news agency ONA reported on Monday.
The robust financial performance underscores Oman’s ongoing strategic transition to diversify its economy away from a singular reliance on oil revenues. The OIA, which manages both domestic enterprises and international investment portfolios, has heavily focused on high-growth sectors, including logistics, renewable energy, food security, and technology.
The 2025 profit surge reflects strong returns from both its local development portfolio—which drives national infrastructure and industrial projects—and its international "Future Generations Fund" portfolio, designed to secure long-term wealth through global equities and private equity investments.
