Rabat, London seek to promote cooperation in education sector

Memorandum of understanding will be soon signed by Morocco and Britain to strengthen bilateral cooperation in education sector.

CASABLANCA - Morocco’s education minister Said Amzazi and British minister for investment Graham Stuart held on Friday talks on ways to promote cooperation in the education sector.

During the meeting in Rabat, Amzazi expressed his willingness to exchange successful experience and expertise between Moroccan and British universities and give new impetus to the teaching of the English language in Morocco at all levels of education, according to a statement from the ministry of National Education.

The two officials also stressed the importance of the memorandum of understanding, to be soon signed by both parties, and which is meant to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the sector of education, added the same source.

Stuart, who was speaking at a conference at the British Embassy in Rabat, said that that his visit to Morocco was a good opportunity to discuss with several senior Moroccan officials ways to strengthen the ties of cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the field of education.
