UAE welcomes US-Iran deal to end war
Abu Dhabi – The United Arab Emirates has welcomed the agreement between the United States and Iran to end their conflict, underscoring the critical role of dialogue, diplomacy, and adherence to international law in achieving lasting regional stability.
In an official statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted the importance of full compliance with the provisions of the newly established framework.
The Ministry described the agreement as a significant step toward de-escalation and expressed hope that sustained commitment from all parties would pave the way for broader peace and security across the region.
Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, praised the UAE’s handling of the tense period, stating that the country has emerged from the crisis stronger, more resilient, and more confident in its strategic position.
“It worked diplomatically and credibly to avoid war, protected its sovereignty firmly and effectively, and established its position as a model of development, stability and prosperity in the region,” Gargash posted on X.
The UAE’s measured and proactive diplomatic approach during the standoff was widely credited with helping to prevent wider regional fallout. By prioritizing de-escalation, maintaining open channels of communication with international partners, and reinforcing its commitment to international norms, the UAE has reinforced its reputation as a reliable and forward-looking actor in Gulf and Middle East affairs.
Analysts note that the UAE’s balanced foreign policy — combining strong defense capabilities with active diplomatic engagement — has proven effective in safeguarding national interests while contributing to regional calm. The country continues to position itself as a hub for economic growth, innovation, and peaceful cooperation amid shifting geopolitical dynamics.
The agreement between Washington and Tehran marks a major turning point after months of heightened tensions. Regional observers will now be closely watching implementation of the framework and its impact on trade routes, energy markets, and security arrangements across the Gulf.
The UAE has reiterated its readiness to support constructive initiatives that promote dialogue and mutual understanding, consistent with its long-standing vision of a stable, prosperous, and interconnected region.
