Hammouchi grants exceptional promotion to assaulted police officer

Head of DGSN grants exceptional promotion to police sergeant who was attacked in southwestern city of Agadir while on duty.

RABAT – Morocco’s Director General of National Security (DGSN) Abdellatif Hammouchi granted on Sunday an exceptional promotion to a police sergeant who was attacked in the southwestern city of Agadir.

The police officer was assaulted by the aggressor while on duty at one of the roundabouts of Agadir.

Hammouchi entrusted the Mohammed VI Foundation with social works for national security officials and the services of the Prefecture of Police of Agadir to take charge of all the medical care and hospitalization costs for the police officer besides providing all the material resources required for his medical and social support.

The police officer was seriously injured on Saturday evening by an individual who struck him severely with an iron bar on his back and thigh. An intensive manhunt resulted in the arrest of the suspect
