A New uprise in Palestine

Today, Israel thinks that the time is ripe for major leaps to architect the country for itself solely by more annexation, settlements and eviction of the Palestinians to other countries.

The new uprise in Palestine comes as a response to the Israeli macabre practices against the native inhabitants of the Palestinian territories represented in the continuous shelling of Gaza, annexation of the occupied land, erecting the barrier wall between the Palestinian cities and villages and the continuous building of settlements.

When life becomes worse than death, man should do anything to alleviate his suffering even if he dies. Israel is ecstatic about the mediocre reaction on the part of the Palestinians since the second Intifada (2000-2005), considering this to be an undeclared defeat. As a result, it continued swallowing more parts of the Palestinian land and intensified this practice while the surrounding Arab countries are ablaze due to the so-called Arab Spring.

Today, Israel thinks that the time is ripe for major leaps to architect the country for itself solely by more annexation, settlements and eviction of the Palestinians to other countries. For this purpose, it orchestrated a frail plan and deemed it a chance for the Palestinians to settle down and live in peace and called it “Deal of the Century”.

The plan was rejected immediately by the Palestinians who refused to put it on the negotiations table, considering it worthless to talk about. They rightly described it as a daylight robbery of the Palestinians’ legitimate rights. Yet, Israel still sees that the opportunity should be seized and continue the implementation of the “Deal” unilaterally.

In this context, the Palestinians recognized that they have fallen as a collateral damage for the widespread catastrophes in the Arab region as a result of the Arab Spring, and if they do not take action immediately, the “Deal” will certainly be pushed through and imposed on the Palestinians. Hence, the new uprise has broken out and the Palestinians have to march the way at any cost in an epic whose fighters understand that the mission is an existential one and there is no other option.

The world understands the Palestinian Cause and realizes that Israel occupied a land of another nation, expelled its people and established its own country, but it does not care because this is the global system which the world goes by: justice and welfare are only for the rich and powerful; otherwise, life of the less fortunate nations is worthless and does not count. Even the international organizations are there to guard the interests of the rich and powerful and their allies only.

As the decision has been taken to launch a new uprise, the world should expect to see more killing and destruction and media should be happy to find some new rich material to attract more viewers and subscribers and eventually, more money as per the global economic system which is rife of everything except a human touch. No wonder, a new war means more sales of weapons, rise in oil prices, intensive competition among media outlets and more profits to the world super powers.

It is true that the Palestinians cannot encounter the lethal military machine of the Israelis, but it is their fate to face one of the strongest armies of the world bare-handed, and they have to accept their fate. In fact, the move comes too late and it should not have stopped in the first place because history has taught us that life is not for the weak, and the winner takes it all.
